Where Courage Meets the Page
Sharing my poetry takes real courage because my work is deeply personal and close to my heart. When I first entered the world of self-publishing, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of where to begin. I spent countless hours researching online and learning through YouTube, slowly building my understanding of the publishing process.
One of my biggest challenges was designing my book cover. It wasn't easy to translate the abstract themes of my poetry into explicit imagery. Formatting brought its own learning curve, too, mainly because I followed inspiration more than strict structure, which pushed me creatively while also testing my patience.
Overall, the experience became one of my greatest learning moments. I gained valuable knowledge that I will apply to my next poetry book, focusing on professionalism, presentation, and polish. With every step, I gained confidence and was able to share my work with others.
